A substance with intentions

Dense, reflective and sticky, with an opaque chrome surface. Press directly on the surface, then pull slowly. Hold a stretched neck under tension to tear off a piece. Up to five pieces can exist at once; the mass resists further separation. Flick and release to throw a piece, then grab it again to hold it against its return. Each piece slowly finds its way back and visibly joins the core. Total mass stays constant. More grams mean more inertia and resistance.

Scroll with two fingers to orbit the laboratory camera; pinch to zoom. While gripping material, scrolling adjusts depth and the camera stays still. On mobile, one finger manipulates the material; two fingers release the grip and orbit or pinch the camera. Double-tap and right-click retain the scatter gesture, limited to five pieces, which reform into another shape.

Play with your keyboard

Focus the mass: arrow keys turn it, Space or S scatters it, P pushes it, and Escape releases your grip. F throws the mass; C presses it and L stretches it. Shift + drag turns the mass. Reset view restores the camera.
